America, we are a country plagued with boomer MMS group chats. Boomers realized that we stopped using Facebook so, in the American spirit of not giving up even though you probably should, they added us to group chats with 30 or more of our relatives. At least that's how it is for my wife's family. My small, immediate family doesn't like group chats. I should know, I tried to start a group chat. My brother and sisters were like "nah." and continued to just text one on one. I appreciate that. Not every family needs a group chat but... if you do have a group chat, you should share thoughtful blog posts. Good, lengthy, interesting, funny, blog posts - the kind you think about in the shower a week afterwards: share those. *
Blogs have the potential to re-introduce longform content to people who are addicted to 10 second video clips. Yeaah, share that blog post in the 200 member family group chat that you can never leave because they would know you left. Now imagine those boomers sharing links to their newly created blogs... more of the olds on our sites? Sounds fun. Welcome olds.
