As a person with autism, I can say that IT departments permeate autism. Neurotypicals in the dept are steeped deep in the autistic tea that is tech. They'll listen to us go on about FOSS licensing or some stupid shit from time to time. Tho, we always find stuff in common: like vidya games, sitcoms, the kind of anime that's accepted by polite society, ect. I love my normie coworkers.
So, there's this Chicago guy. We'll call him Chi Guy (pronounced "shy guy"). We hop on the Teams for our weekly bullshitting. He inconspicuously shuts the door in a way that doesn't alert the surrounding suits. IT starts working blue. We're trading bullshit, having laughs - as we do. Both of us are around the same age. ...we just live very different lives. I have a wife, two cats and a youtube channel (which sometimes features those cats). He has a wife and kids, AND he knows how to golf :O
Still, we're both that kind of millennial that grew up in between transitional eras of humor and tech, so we've got common ground. We both know goatse and lemon party, is what I'm getting at. Weird stuff comes up. Bronies are mentioned but he doesn't remember that they're called bronies. So, I'm like
You know what they call fapping, right?
He asks "what", while still understanding the phrase fapping

He correctly surmises that it's because of the hoof sounds. We traded some laughs. It could have stopped there. But it didn't.
So you've heard about the jar, right?
Chi Guy hadn't.
So, there's this Rainbow Dash figure in a jar, and the jar was empty when he got it. And he loved MLP, huge fan of the show!
I explained how one very unfortunate Rainbow Dash wound up inside a jar with a man cumming inside of it for years, to the point where it was almost full of his (probably) virgin seed. Yes, there are pics. Great use of Microsoft Teams, by the way.
Oh yeah, I loaned my friend an X250, and he decided to buy a sticker of an artist's rendition of Rainbow Dash in the jar, and he fuckin stuck it on the back of my laptop. I let him keep the laptop.
He laughed but, if I'm being honest, if I were Chi Guy I would question why my coworker has friends that, not only know about the jar - they buy jar stickers for their laptops to use in public. That said, I'm not ashamed to have MLP cum jokes in public friends. It's a part of the autism experience. It's IT.
I dread the day that an autistic person will make me slightly uncomfortable at work. It's coming. I feel the karma. Someone, someday, is gonna come up to me and be like
